Port Wine Jelly is made from a "work of art" wine. Port wine ripens on average for three years--it's the longest aging for a wine. It has a magnificent fruity bouquet. One of the fascinating aspects of Port wine is its variety of different styles, each with its own characteristic flavors. More than any other wine, Port offers endless opportunities for pairing with food.
This jelly may be served with hazelnuts, walnuts, and almonds to fit with its bouquet of dried fruits. Roquefort or Blue Cheese is a good pair with Port Wine Jelly--also dessert petit fours.
